Fishtanks

It's hard to clean a fishtank without a hose and only one of those brushes. Okay, yes, easier while the fishtank is empty, but I still managed to injure myself. Oddly enough it's one of those injuries that you don't really notice till you look at it. Then it's sort of like 'oh, hey, owe, looks like that may have hurt'.

What really sucks is when you decide to take it back in the house so you can ask your parents what to do with it later, and someone has locked the door so you have to go all the way around the house and go through another door to get in. Then you can unlock the door and get the fishtank. Of course, the whole time you'll be worrying over dropping it, the glass shattering all over and you being yelled at for breaking it. Then you have to clean that up and worry about kids stepping on glass.

What's even worse is the fact that you're now stuck at home with your father till they figure out whether he's fired or not. And mind you he is extraordinarily critical and seems to expect everything to be perfect. Though we'll pray that he can get a job and things can stick to mom being at home. Even if she sits in her room all day like a typical teenager. And when she is out, on the computer and expecting you to clean and keep the house in order, including four little girls seven and under.

But the day is not over yet! You've still got to take tonight into account, wonder whether mom will get home and decide you get to cook dinner or she takes care of it but starts telling you twenty other things to do. No biggy though. At least you can chat later with friends online. So long as they actually get on...
